The 'NEW WORLD CUP'
October, 2005

AFTER WEEKS OF EXCITING ELIMINATIONS, WE'VE JUST FINISHED UP WITH OUR FIRST TOURNAMENT OF THE SEASON, AND ARE PROUD TO INTRODUCE THIS MONTH'S CHAMPIONS!

VICTORY LANE
The 'NEW WORLD CUP' Youth Formula K Division Winners, left to right; Kyle Baulk, Jr., Adam Dunaway, and 'Lil Al' Turner.

Adam dominated the race in the first two heats, with 'Lil Al' and Kyle Jr. coming in second and third respectively.

But then, the competition became a real nail-biter in the third when 'Lil Al' made a sudden comback, managing to hold onto first position for the entire heat.

With friends, family and fans cheering, Kyle Jr. came in a close second in the final race making it pure suspense right up to the end.

The boys ran an excellent race, displaying a genuine sense of sportsmanship, not to mention impressive racing skills.

After driving a vicotry lap together, they all shook hands, and even ended up playing a game of pool together in the arcade.

Great job, guys!

   Adam Dunaway, 1st Place

    'Lil Al' Turner, 2nd Place

Kyle Baulk, Jr., 3rd Place

The 'NEW WORLD CUP' Advanced Formula K Division Winners, left to right; Billy Morris, 3rd Place, Ernie McFadden, 1st Place, and 2nd Place winner, Ryan Huddleston.

The Advanced Formula K Division Race proved to be a real thrill as well, with only a one-point spread between all three drivers through the entire competition.

While Billy Morris managed to come in second for three heats out of four, the first place points were split evenly between Ryan and Ernie with Ryan taking the second and third heat victorys, and Ernie winning the first and fourth.

As the final race neared it's end, it was becoming appearant that there would be a tie for first place points between Ernie and Ryan when suddenly in the final lap, Ryan spun out on a corner, slamming into the rail. This allowed Billy to pass him, and took away his chance for the gold. This ended up giving Ernie his SECOND big win, and is to date our biggest champion of all.

STATS:
DRIVER                POINTS     h/s lap time
Ernie McFadden         37            38:25
Ryan Huddleston         36            37:52
Billy Morris                 35            38:75

The 'CARTER CLASSIC'
December, 2005

VICTORY LANE
Barbara Mickler (left), Charlotte Carter, (middle) and our well deserved 1st place winner, Keith Heckinthorne, sporting the checkered flag.

The Carter Classic was the first of our series of 2005 Go Kart Tournaments to feature the presentation of the trophys by two very special ladies; Charlotte Carter and her sister, Barabara Mickler.
This particular Tournament was named in honor of the Carter family whom, along with their father, the late (and GREAT!) Abe (Abraham) Carter, allowed the construction and operation of Post Road Recreation Center on their land in 1991.

The Carter Classic was also the first in our series of 2005-2006 Tournaments to be set in our Indoor Oval Track, which made for a most exciting and intense race.

With 400 feet of slippery banked oval track, the racers had to use every skill they could muster, and make every move count!

Barbara presents the 1st place troophy to Keith, while Charlotte looks on. Keith was our 3rd place winner last month in the Polar Cup.

Mike Poynter, returning Champion from the previous month's Tournament, The Polar Cup, came in a close 2nd place in the 2005 Carter Classic.

THINK YA

TAKES TO BE

Ernie McFadden, two-time New World Cup Champion (Adv. Fast Kart & Adv. Formula K Divisions)  made a big come-back after an upset last month in the Polar Cup, receiving the 3rd place trophy for the Carter Classic.
