IN THE SPIRIT OF THE FAMOUS INDY 500 AND JUST IN TIME FOR ALL OF THE GUYS WHO LOVE SPEED THAT TRAVEL TO OUR TOWN EVERY MAY! IT WAS THE FIRST INTRODUCTION OF OUR BRAND NEW KICKIN' MIDGET SPRINTERS! THERE MAY HAVE BEEN QUITE A FEW RACES RESCHEDULED AS MAY IS FAMOUS FOR THE MOST FREQUENT RE-OCCURANCES OF HUGE RAIN CLOUDS, BUT IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT. NOW, OUR WINNERS IN BOTH THE FAST KART & SPRINTER DIVISIONS:

1st place Midget Sprinter Division, Mr. Gil Ernst! Watch out for this guy!

Coming in a close second, just like last month, Ronnie Dodson!

Just like I said, watch out for this guy! He made a clean sweep in both divisions...Taking 1st place in our Fast Kart Division as well, Mr. Gil Ernst!

Coming in second, none other than Adam West. Great job, Adam!

Everyone at the rec center was happy to see Nate Kiser take 3rd. He's one of our favorite track attendants, and all around good guy!

The 'Flat Out Open'
July, 2006

THIS WAS A FUN ONE! THE FAST KARTS RAN ON OUR STREET TRACK FOR THIS TOURNAMENT, AND THE SPRINTS RAN ON THE FAST TRACK. IT WAS A REAL NAIL-BITER ON THE SPRINTS WHEN GIL AND TJ HAD A HEAD-TO-HEAD RACE OFF FOR FIRST PLACE!
THE FUN THING ABOUT THE FAST TRACK, IS THAT THE LEAD CAN CHANGE EVERY LAP, DUE TO THE LAYOUT. IT WENT BACK AND FORTH SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE TJ ENDED UP CROSSING THE FINISH LINE, JUST BY THE HAIR ON HIS CHINNY, CHIN CHIN!

In one of the most exciting race-offs ever, 1st  place Midget Sprint Car by a nose - Mr. TJ Faulkner!	2nd place Midget Sprint Car winner, Gil Ernst!	Ted (our mechanic) is always showing off, showing the guys just how you're supposed to race. This was a week in history for PRRC when Ted qualified with a record 16:72 seconds on the 700 ft. long Fast Track! (Midget Sprint) Go, dude, go!
And here he is AGAIN...1place on Fast Kart, none other than Mr. Gil Ernst!	Let's hear it for the ladies! Her husband must've taught her how to drive (or maybe it was the other way around?) Here is Beth Ernst with her 2nd place Fast Kart trophy!	Here's our guy Nate Kiser again with another  3rd place Fast Kart trophy! Way to go, Nate!

The 'Mini Brickyard'
August, 2006

Ahhhhhhh...AUGUST! IT'S A BIG MONTH FOR THE CITY OF INDIANAPOLIS EVERY YEAR WHEN THE BRICKYARD ROLLS INTO TOWN, WITH LOTS OF EVENTS AND CELEBRATIONS ALL AROUND THE CITY. WE ALWAYS CELEBRATE TOO, BY HOLDING OUR OWN BRICKYARD TOURNAMENT!

SO, LADIES AND GENTLEMENT, START YOUR ENGINES!

FAST KART DIVISION You may remember Matt Wingfield from the Audubon back in June? Well, he's obviously catching onto driving our Fast Karts, because here he is with his first 1st place trophy! Taking home his seventh trophy of the season, it's Mr. Gil Ernst with the 2nd place trophy! And check out his wife, once again prooving that chicks are not to be overlooked in the racing world. Taking home her second and well deserved trophy of the season, step aside guys for Ms. Beth Ernst!

He may've placed 2nd of the Fast Karts, but here he is with the 1st place trophy on the Midget Sprinters! This marks the eight trophy of the season for Mr. Gil Ernst - what an incredible run!

Here is our own Jordan Wessell coming in 2nd for the Midget Sprint Car division. This is his second trophy this season! Good job, Jordan!

The 2006 Summer Tournament of Champions
September, 2006

THESE GUYS RACED TOOTH & NAIL TO PLACE IN THIS ONE...WITH THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF PRIZES UP FOR THE TAKING, THEY DILIGENTLY RACED - WHETHER THE TRACK WAS WET OR DRY!  EVERYONE DISPLAYED THE UTMOST SPORTSMANSHIP, AND MADE IT REALLY FUN FOR EVERYONE COMPETING. WE WERE MORE THAN HAPPY TO AWARD PRIZES TO EVERYONE OF THESE GUYS!

Matt Wingfield displayed, hands down, just how to drive a Fast Kart on a wet track. Taking 1st place and walking away with a $200. gift certificate for Post Road Rec, a $200. racing experience at Track Attack, free races at New Castle Raceway Park and Fast Times Indoor Karting and a huge selection of other cool stuff from all the businesses listed at the top of this page, Mr. Matt Wingfield. Way to go, Matt!	Gil Ernst was just barely nudged out of 1st place on the last lap of a 10-lap raceoff between him and Matt! It was one exciting race when he managed to pass Matt momentarily on the third straightaway, but fell back across the finish line! Taking 2nd place on Fast Kart, a $150. gift certificate, and many other prizes, good guy Gil Ernst.	TJ Faulkner may be a really fun and friendly kinda guy, but when it comes to racing, he's all business! Taking 3rd, he graciously accepted his trophy, along with a $100. gift certificatre to Post Road Rec and several other great gift certificates from our sponsors.

The winners of the Midget Sprint Car division as they placed;
1st place went to TJ Faulkner (middle), 2nd went to Gil Ernst,
(right) and 3rd went to one of our own, who happens to be an
employee here at Post Road Rec! We were delighted to award
Jordan Wessell (left) with 3rd Place. It was a great season, and
thanks to all you guys!
